Vance Says World War 2 Wasn’t a “War”
WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—JD Vance raised eyebrows at a White House press briefing on Friday by telling reporters that he “wouldn’t call World War 2 a war.”
“When that supposed ‘world war’ was going on, Antarctica was totally at peace,” he said. “The last time I checked, Antarctica was part of the world. So do the math.”
Doubling down, he argued that World War 2 could not be a war because “World War 1 wasn’t a war, either,” adding, “That was a tussle, at best.”
Lashing out at the assembled press, Vance said, “You folks need to be very careful when you say things like ‘world war this’ or ‘world war that.’ If anyone’s going to start a world war, it’s going to be President Trump.”
