WASHINGTON—As he described their five-day stint in a padded room and warned Americans against voting for the U.S. Senate candidate, President Donald Trump claimed Thursday that he shared a cell with James Talarico in an insane asylum. “Talarico says he was sick with the flu, but don’t believe the lies—I was held captive with him in the Ohio State Penitentiary for the Criminally Insane,” said Trump, adding that he would never trust the Texas Democrat to hold public office after watching “the lunatic” attack three nurses and urinate on an orderly. “Believe me, he was one of the worst guys in the madhouse. Every single day he would dislocate his shoulder and slip out of the straitjacket. They made the guy where a muzzle after he bit off my face.” Trump added that the only way he escaped Talarico’s wrath was by throwing a sink through a window and fleeing back to the White House.
