Hyperrealistic ‘GTA VI’ Feature Makes Players Serve Out Prison Sentences In Real Time

EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND—Touting the gameplay element as the ultimate immersive experience, Rockstar Games announced Thursday that a new hyperrealistic Grand Theft Auto VI feature would force players to serve out prison sentences in real time. “GTA VI is powered by a highly advanced gaming engine that actually sentences players to five to 10 years at a maximum security prison after they’re apprehended by police,” a press release read in part, going on to state that players could only continue in the game after they were arraigned, had endured a months-long trial, and had paid their debt to society behind bars. “Players will need to be model prisoners if they want to avoid solitary confinement or ever see the streets of Leonida again. But if they hire a good lawyer, many will be able to serve out their sentence in a minimum-security facility, where they’ll have access to both a hyperrealistic racquetball mini game and a license-plate-manufacturing side mission.” Rockstar Games also announced that the new GTA VI feature would allow players to convert to Islam while inside.
